I realise that one should not sand a wood carving project prior to carving otherwise one's tools will be damaged by the ensuing grit. However, I find it necessary in my current project to sand an area prior to carving a design. Is there a way to overcome my problem. In other words get rid of the grit from the sanding before carving?
